We love our furry ‘kids’ and so do our human kids, so why not head to an eventĀ that is fun for both? Here’s what’s coming up in pet-and-family-friendly events (and some pet-themed events) in and around Calgary.
Dog Parks
There are lots of off-leash parks for dogs. The Jim Davidson Dog Park, in the southeast, is 10 acres of fully-fenced, off-leash fun. This unique area incorporates enhanced features like a digging pit, boardwalk, and interpretive signs into the design of the park. Or, take your pooch to the Sue Higgins Park, which is the largest fenced off-leash park in Calgary. It lies in the southeast along the Bow River. Read more about Calgary parksĀ here.
The following events are for animal lovers to shop and get great ideas for your pets, but these events are only for the human members of your family.
Regal Cat Cafe
Cat Cafes have become a thing! Get your caffeine fix and your kitty fix in one place. One of our writers visited the Regal Cat Cafe when it first opened. You can read about her experience here.
