This fall, Arts Umbrella’s team of nearly 250 arts educators and staff are excited to lead their programs in Art, Design, Dance, Theatre, Music, and Film. Try your hand at Sketch Comedy and Improv, Architecture & Environmental Design, or a Parent and Me Program. All classes are designed to inspire children and youth from ages 2-22.

Gateway Theatre
Gateway Academy offers something for the extroverts and introverts in your life. Whether your child has been singing and dancing around the house since they could walk, or is terrified to step on stage, theatre classes instill valuable life skills to every level of experience. Intro classes for ages 6-7 are currently offered and run from January to April. It’s a perfect opportunity to try out one semester of acting to see if it is the right fit. Children will receive instruction from professional working artists who are not only skilled in their individual crafts but also passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with students.

Do you have children or youth interested in the arts? From fine arts to music to movement and dance, it’s time to start thinking about registering for Place des Arts classes and lessons for the fall. Whalley Little League
Are you looking to learn baseball in a fun, encouraging atmosphere? Or maybe your child has already developed a solid foundation of experience and skills and is looking to play more competitively this year? Whalley Little League’s registration is now open for Spring League (April- June). With divisions for children ages 4-15 years old, joining the team is a fun and affordable way to learn the game at the best facilities in the Lower Mainland. The teams are co-ed and are based on age and skill levels. The Whalley Little League has been to the World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania 6 times. Will 2023 be the year they return?

The aptly-named Wonder of Learning Organization (WOLO) offers music and child care to Vancouver kids, but they also offer a wide variety of programs this fall that will provide excitement and enrichment for your children. WOLO offers interest-based learning in a variety of areas, while guiding students through emotional development and collaboration with others. Their learning centre is Reggio-Emilia inspired and incorporates best practices in education, while highly valuing the arts.
