This is also the time that family-fun activities ramp up around Metro Vancouver! Pitt Meadows Day| June 7, 2025
This free family event is a community tradition and includes a pancake breakfast, a parade, an artisan market, entertainment, food trucks, a family-friendly beverage garden, children & youth activities and much more!

The merchants in Burnaby Heights are taking their Hats Off for their community & customers. The day is packed full of family-friendly activities.
Doors Open Richmond | June 7 & 8, 2025
The annual Doors Open Richmond returns this spring as a free, in-person and online event from June 8-9, 2024. Doors Open celebrates cultural diversity and raises civic awareness by offering a look inside places of worship, cultural and civic centres, local businesses, museums and heritage sites.
Portugal Day | June 7 & 8, 2025
Celebrate the vibrant Portuguese culture at Portugal Day! Enjoy delicious food, watch traditional dances and live performances, and get ready for a family-friendly day of fun. Admission is FREE!
BC Family Fishing Weekend | June 13-15, 2025
The BC Family Fishing Weekend is back! During the Annual BC’s Family Fishing Weekend, June 16-18, 2023 (which is also Father’s Day weekend) Canadians can fish LICENCE FREE on both salt and fresh water (certain rules and regulations do apply).
Queensborough Children’s Festival | June 14, 2025
Enjoy a family-friendly festival where the activities are specifically geared toward kids! Enjoy entertainment from Music with Marnie, Merlin the Musician, and more. Don’t miss the circus tent, the bubbles station, and meet beautiful birds from Greyhaven Sanctuary Birds.
ScotFest BC | June 20 & 21, 2025
Embrace the bagpipes, watch the kilts fly during the jigs and reels, be awed by the stone putt and caber toss. Wander through the vendor stalls and cheer on the sheepdog competition. The BC Highland Games, now referred to as ScotFest, is a fantastically fun family-friendly event.
Vancouver International Jazz Festival | June 20-July 1, 2025
The Vancouver International Jazz Festival kicks off with over 140 free and ticketed performances of diverse programming over 10 days. Opening weekend includes free Downtown Jazz outside the Vancouver Art Gallery, and the Festival culminates on Canada Day weekend with shows across Granville Island.
Dragon Boat Festival | June 20 -22, 2025
Created as a showcase of Vancouver’s growing cultural diversity, this first-of-its-kind event has grown to become a grand celebration of Canada’s unique multicultural heritage with exciting programs and professional performances by well- known entertainers. Visual arts displays and activities from local community groups, and of course, the world-class dragon boat races makes Dragon Boat Festival Vancouver’s most anticipated and prestigious summer event.
National Indigenous Peoples’ Day | June 21, 2025
National Indigenous Peoples Day is June 21, coinciding with the Summer Solstice or the longest day of the year. On this day, many Indigenous communities celebrate their culture on this day and in 2017, June 21 was officially renamed National Indigenous Peoples Day
Greek Day | June 22, 2025
Greek Day on Broadway is back. A five-block stretch on West Broadway is closed off to traffic for a world of delicious Greek food and drink, market vendors, entertainment, and live music offering a laid-back, yet lively Greek atmosphere. Come hungry, as the food is out of this world!
