Whether it’s Remembrance Day ceremonies or holiday events and markets, our calendar has a full list of family-friendly activities.

Bear Creek Park Lights | Nov. 7 – 21
Enjoy a free, family-friendly evening festival in Surrey. Bear Creek Park is festooned with holiday lights and Christmas installations. Reimagined to bring nature to the forefront, this yearâs event features an illuminated nature trail with stunning light displays to enhance the natural landscape of the park.
Harry Potter TM Forbidden Forest Experience | November 7 – December 7
For the first time ever, a forbidden forest experience is happening in Stanley Park! This Harry Potter delight will welcome visitors to an enchanting outdoor experience after dark with trails filled with magical characters and ample opportunities to cast spells!
Remembrance Day Services | November 11
Join your community in commemorating Remembrance Day across the province. There are plenty of outdoor ceremonies being held that are suitable for all ages. Most are 30 minutes – 1 hour in length.
Chutzpah! Festival | November 12 -23
Breath-taking dance, hilarious comedy, internationally lauded theatre and music define the Annual Chutzpah! Festival, the International Jewish Performing Arts Festival. The eclectic festival showcases performances and workshops by international, Canadian and local artists.
Lumiere | Nov. 13 – 16
Lumiere â the illuminated art installation event â has returned to Vancouver for another season. All around Vancouver you can enjoy light installations for your enjoyment. This outdoor, FREE event has expanded to additional locations around the city and incorporated light parades and other fun events
Vancouver Christmas Market | November 13 – December 24
One of Vancouverâs most beloved Christmas events is back at Jack Poole Plaza. Stroll through authentic German vendors in little wooden huts and sample delicacies along the way. Take home a beautiful glass ornament or keepsake from one of the vendors to cherish for years to come.

Supercross Championship | November 15
After nearly 20 years, the sport of Supercross returns to Vancouver with the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX). Riders will navigate the challenging track at BC Place, showcasing skill, speed and endurance as they vie for the championship lead.
The Eastside Culture Crawl | November 20-23
The Eastside Culture Crawl is a beloved Vancouver tradition. Over four days, the general public is invited into 500 + artistsâ studios, homes, and garages throughout Vancouverâs Eastside in celebration of visual arts, design, and crafts.
FEATURED: Parents Are A Drag | November 22-23
Get ready to be silly, play dress up, and laugh your socks off at Carousel Theatre for Young Peopleâs production of Parents Are a Drag! Originally commissioned by the Vancouver International Childrenâs Festival, this ZeeZee Theatre Production original is a delightful show about play, connection, and fun that will have adults and children up on their feet dancing and celebrating.
Surrey Tree Lighting Festival | November 22-23
Visitors to this FREE event will enjoy immersive light experiences, photos with Santa, the lighting of the Surrey Christmas Tree, an enchanted village, live musical performances, and more.

Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum | Nov. 22 – Jan. 2
Experience the old-fashioned magic of Christmas at Heritage Christmas at the Burnaby Village Museum. Stroll through the 1920âs village and enjoy spectacular lights, vintage-themed displays and historical exhibits.
FEATURED: Disney On Ice | November 26 – 30
Get ready to sing, dance and jump up with excitement at Disney On Ice. Back for 2025 with a vibrant and upbeat show, Disney On Ice presents Letâs Dance with characters and songs from the most popular movies. NEW this year is a fun pre-show called Goofyâs Holiday Sing-a-long! Get in the festive spirit with Goofy as the whole family sings holiday classics and upbeat medleys from DJ Freeze.
Lights at Lafarge | November 28 – mid-February
The City of Coquitlam turns Lafarge Lake into a magical, dazzling display of lights every winter. As you wander around the water’s edge, you are treated to varying light installations, performances, and special themed nights. The official kick-off is November 8th.
