Cyclists in Calgary have a new circuit to enjoy and sharpen their skills on at the South Glenmore Bicycle Pump Track. This asphalt circuit utilizes hills to create an “up and down pumping motion” rather than pedalling, allowing users from beginner to advanced to practice their balance and improve their competency on their bike.
Free to use, the park will help serve the increased demand for bike facilities in the city while providing another recreational opportunity for Calgarians.
The track is the latest project undertaken by Parks Foundation Calgary, in partnership with the City of Calgary, Mountain Equipment Co-op, the Calgary Foundation and the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance.
