Montreal-based scratch DJ, music producer, and graphic novelist Kid Koala is coming to Calgary this January and presenting two different shows.
The Storyville Mosquito from January 17 – 19, 2024, tells the tale of a jazz-playing mosquito who leaves his small town in the country to seek fame and fortune in the big city; the story is brought to life simultaneously on stage and screen, with miniature sets, live puppetry, cinematography, and live music by Kid Koala and a string trio.
You can also check out the Robot Dance Party on January 20, 2024, at the GRAND, for an interactive, electronic music show. You’ll build a robot costume and join the dance party!
