My daughter had a crazy fear of witches until this past year when she decided to be one for Halloween! We’re going to try watching the classic Wizard of Oz to see how she likes it but did you know there is a total remake coming out? Rather than focusing on Dorothy and friends, Oz the Great and Powerful envisions the beginnings of the beloved wizard character. Oscar Diggs (played by James Franco) is a circus magician with a questionable ethical standard who is sucked into a tornado in Kansas and swept to the Land of Oz where he is welcomed as a great wizard. He meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who see through his carnival tricks. He is half-heartedly dragged into the problems facing the Land of Oz and must use his magic tricks to help Oz and ultimately himself.
The previews are astounding, the actors are all great and the story looks full of delightful twists and turns! Only 3 more weeks until its released!
