The Muppets

It’s time to play the music
It’s time to light the lights
It’s time to meet the Muppets!

The latest Muppets movie hits theatres today!

One of the best things about being a parent is being able to share something you enjoyed when you were little with your kids. When I scanned the audience at the sneak preview of the new Muppets movie, I could see parents exchanging silly giggles with their kids and the looks of excitement on their faces knowing they were about to introduce their childhood friends to their kids. When I told my son that Animal was always my favorite Muppet, he emphatically agreed that Animal was crazy and he loved him too.

The Muppets Animal
In the story, an evil oil tycoon is going to tear down the Muppets theatre to drill for oil and the Muppets must reunite to save the theatre.

The Muppets

Over the years the Muppets have gone their separate ways. Miss Piggy lives in Paris, Gonzo is a successful businessman and Fozzie is performing on a cheap stage in Reno. They join forces and (spoiler alert!) save the theatre!

The Muppets
The movie was over the top cheesy with singing and dancing in the streets; it reminded me of those old Disney musicals from the 1960’s. My son thought it was hysterical and my face hurt from grinning during the entire film. This is a great movie for a family night out! If you ever watched the Muppets as a child, you definitely can’t miss this show!
