Halloween Movies to get your family in a Spooky Mood!

What’s your favourite Halloween Movie? There are so many good, bad and cheesy shows to chose from that its hard to know what to watch. Here are a few suggestions for your viewing pleasure to get everyone in the mood for the big day!

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
It freaked me out as a child (in a good way!) and now I love the old school animation and smooth spooky music.

Hocus Pocus
Worth watching for the campiness of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and watching the good girls overcome these eternal mean girls

Nightmare before Christmas
This one is on my watch list! The king of Halloweentown, Jack Skellington, comes across Christmas Town and is quite confused about the concept of Christmas.

Garfield’s Halloween
My daughter has been obsessed with Garfield ever since her grandparents gave her all of her daddy’s old comic books. We love watching what our favourite fat sarcastic cat gets into on Halloween!

It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
While not my personal favourite, it’s an undeniable classic.

Monsters Vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins From Outer Space
Another one that’s on our watch list, this is conveniently available on Netflix in Canada

Scared Shrekless
I admit that our kids don’t really like Shrek yet, but I think may change their minds after this Halloween! This one is also available on Canadian Netflix
