Create Kids Fest is an interactive, multidisciplinary resource for families that provides opportunities for the audience to engage with fine arts, explore the process of creation, and experience special moments that will be cherished for years to come.
On October 30, 2022, Create Kids Fest is presenting TWO incredible shows for kids and their families.
Imagine Action: 11 am
Join a young boy as he travels into the world of his imagination in Imagine Action! Shows are always “relaxed” in nature to allow for accessibility to all who wish to attend, and children are invited to sing, dance, and play along. Best enjoyed by children under 8 years old.
Wandering with Wonder: 2 pm
Come join Samantha Whelan Kotkas (trumpet, singer, storyteller) and Walter MacDonald White Bear (drum, guitar, native flute, storyteller) as they take you on an unforgettable journey on a day that never was. Inspired by the land, water and sky, ‘Wandering with Wonder’ is a musical storytelling experience using the arts to reconnect people with nature and the Indigenous ways of knowing. In this 60-minute performance, you will explore how music is inspired by the natural world in both Classical and Indigenous musical traditions.
