Pacekids (Family Fun Calgary)
Pacekids is a non-profit, charitable organization that offers a variety of programs to families who have children with special needs. Designed to empower children and strengthen the family unit, Pacekids operates with a play-based and therapeutic educational philosophy. With a diverse range of programming available and a variety of treatment options, Calgary families can be assured of their child’s healthy development within the family and the community. Some families have discovered that there is a “gap” in the speech programming services in Calgary. If you have children younger than 2.6 years or who don’t qualify for funded programming and this is your experience, Pacekids has designed an Early-Speech Language Enhancement (E-SLE) Program. The E-SLE Program was created for children who have speech and/or language delays but are too young to be enrolled in the Early Childhood Services (ECS) afternoon program or don’t currently qualify for funded programming. The E-SLE Program, led by a Speech-Language Pathologist, will include enhancements of music therapy and occupational therapy support.
