You won’t want to miss these attractions that are Hot and New for 2017 in Orlando!
Visiting Orlando is on many lists of “must do” vacations, and if it hasn’t been on yours before, you might want to add it this year… 2017 holds some pretty amazing things for “the City Beautiful.” Here are a few of our faves!
At Universal Orlando Resort, 2 new rides are slated to open. Visitors will soon be able to take a wild ride through New York City with one of the funniest guys in late night TV. Race Through New York with Jimmy Fallon takes riders around (and above!) the City that Never Sleeps on a ride that promises thrills and hilarity. Next, June will hold the unveiling of Volcano Bay…a waterpark unlike any other! Look for tropical island inspired surroundings and innovative technologies that eliminate long lines and the hassle of tubes.
The wet and wild fun continues at SeaWorld Orlando, as the Kraken roller coaster takes riders on a virtual ride through an underwater adventure, and Electric Ocean (opening summer 2017) will display a bio-luminescent spectacle at the end of the day.
If that doesn’t satisfy your need for watery fun, Miss Fortune Falls in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, opening March 2017, will boast the longest ride time in the water parks (clocking in at 2 minutes) with a family style raft ride.
Also opening mid 2017 you’ll be able to stay in the fun bungalows at LEGOLAND Beach Retreat (much more comfortable than a beach of LEGO, we promise!) as well as play at LEGOLAND NINJAGO WORLD, which gives even the non-ninjas among us the awesome ability to battle with blasts of ice, fire and lightening from their hands!
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, visitors will soon be able to leave the confines of our galaxy to visit PANDORA– the world of Avatar. The attraction will be an exciting addition, with glowing forests, mountains that float, and after dark entertainment!
Where ever you go around Orlando in 2017, you’ll find something new and hot. This year is already looking up! Don’t forget to check out the Visit Orlando website for more news on what’s happening this year, and lots of trip planning advice!
